Ryan Gosling Uses His Barbie Power to Bring Back the Flintstones in the Weirdest Way Possible
Ryan Gosling’s production company Open Invite is partnering with Warner Bros. on a live-action reboot of the classic animated series The Flintstones. According to reports, the project is in early development and will center on a grown-up version of Bamm-Bamm, the super-strong character from the original show.
Gosling and his Open Invite partner Jessie Henderson are currently seeking a writer to develop the project. The reboot represents an unexpected addition to Gosling’s already packed slate of upcoming projects. The actor recently starred in the sci-fi hit Project Hail Mary and has several major films in development, including a role in the forthcoming Star Wars: Starfighter (2027) and a highly anticipated MCU debut as Ghost Rider (2028), which will reunite him with Starfighter director Shawn Levy.
Open Invite continues to expand its slate beyond Gosling’s acting projects, with the company set to premiere the romantic drama Love later this year. The Flintstones reboot marks the latest in a wave of legacy IP revivals, bringing the beloved 1960s cartoon to live-action audiences with a fresh narrative focus.
