Arc Raiders is adding a camera mode as part of October’s major update, but some fans need more proof that the game’s not going to wither away

Arc Raiders is preparing a substantial content update for October featuring multiple player-facing improvements. The update will introduce a new high-level challenge designed to test veteran players, set on a frozen map populated with demanding enemy encounters (referred to as arcs) that will require mastery of advanced movement techniques.

In addition to the new challenge content, Misfits Games is implementing a camera mode that will enable players to capture and preserve gameplay moments. The feature, arriving to the “Rust Belt” map in October, is intended to facilitate player-generated content and community sharing of memorable raid moments.

The update announcement reflects the development team’s ongoing commitment to live-service support, though some players remain uncertain about the game’s long-term trajectory. While the introduction of new content and features signals continued development, community sentiment suggests some players require greater evidence of sustained commitment before renewed investment in the title.
