European Games Developer Federation announces 2026-28 board, Hendrik Lesser re-elected as president
The European Games Developer Federation (EGDF) has announced its board for 2026-2028, re-electing Hendrik Lesser as president. The federation has outlined a strategic focus on improving European developers’ access to funding, talent recruitment, and skills development over the next two years.
Two prominent board members have departed: David Rabineau, CEO of Homo Ludens, and Gediminas Tarasevicius, director at No Brakes Games. The new 2026-2028 board brings together regional leaders and industry figures, including Martine Spaans (Fourth Moon Games COO and Dutch Games Association general manager), KooPee Hiltunen (Neogames Finland Association director), Per Strömbäck (Gaming Culture Foundation board member and Stockholm Region Business Council member), and Hrvoje Mitic (GamesCo head of business development).
With Lesser’s continued leadership and the refreshed board composition, the EGDF aims to strengthen support systems for European game developers through coordinated efforts around funding access, talent development, and industry skills training. The organization’s renewed priorities reflect the ongoing challenges facing developers in accessing resources and building sustainable careers within the European gaming industry.
