Roblox to establish Saudi Arabia headquarters to support MENA creators
Roblox has announced the establishment of a regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to expand support for its creator program throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The initiative has received backing from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment, the Riyadh Creative District, and the General Authority of Media Regulation.
According to Mohamed El Sheakh, Roblox’s General Manager for MENA and Türkiye, the decision reflects the platform’s long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia and its digital economy objectives under Vision 2030. The Riyadh headquarters will serve as a regional hub to better support local creators and developers, facilitating growth within the gaming and digital content creation ecosystem across the MENA region.
This move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to diversify its economy and develop its digital and gaming sectors as part of its Vision 2030 initiative. The establishment of the headquarters is expected to strengthen Roblox’s presence in a strategically important market while providing enhanced support services and resources to creators throughout the region.
