Footage of new Iron Man game from EA Motive appears to leak, showing blistering speed and freedom, as MIA superhero game finally reappears

Gameplay footage from EA Motive’s long-awaited Iron Man game has leaked online, offering the first substantial look at the project since its announcement in September 2022. The leaked footage, watermarked with “AUG26” and appearing to originate from a recent internal playtest, showcases an early-stage development build of the action-adventure title.

The footage reveals a fast-paced, open-world experience centered on Tony Stark’s aerial combat and suit customization. Players can seamlessly transition between high-speed flight through urban environments and ground-level combat encounters, with enemies being thrown through walls and environmental objects. The gameplay appears inspired by superhero franchises like Batman Arkham and Marvel’s Spider-Man games, adapted specifically for Iron Man’s aerial capabilities.

The leaked trailer also hints at a broader Marvel universe presence, featuring what appears to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier and potentially other recognizable characters. Though the visual assets remain unfinished, the professional direction and editing suggest solid development progression.

EA Motive has acknowledged the leak as legitimate, with the studio posting a brief social media response stating “See You When We’re Ready.” This confirmation follows previous reports indicating the project has faced development challenges. Despite nearly four years passing since EA’s partnership with Marvel was announced in September 2022, the game remains in very early development.

The footage should not be confused with Avalanche’s previously canceled Iron Man game, which had its own gameplay leak earlier this month. The leaked material suggests EA Motive’s Iron Man continues development toward an eventual official reveal.
