Modern Warfare 4 Adds Tactical Sprint to Blood Rush

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s latest Beta patch, detailed by Infinity Ward on August 28, introduces significant movement mechanic adjustments. The most notable change removes Tactical Sprint as a default ability, relocating it to the Blood Rush Perk instead. The developers also reduced the effectiveness of sliding and made several other mobility adjustments to address ongoing player feedback about movement mechanics.

Beyond movement changes, the patch includes another adjustment to time-to-kill (TTK) values. Following a previous TTK update, Infinity Ward determined that further refinement was needed, implementing a slight increase to TTK. To support this change, multiple weapons were rebalanced to enhance survivability and provide greater room for skill-based gameplay.

The patch represents Infinity Ward’s continued effort to fine-tune balance and pacing during the Beta phase. By moving Tactical Sprint to a perk slot, players must now choose between enhanced sprint mobility and other abilities, fundamentally shifting movement strategy. These changes suggest the developers aim to slow gameplay pace slightly while emphasizing strategic decision-making over pure mechanical speed.
