Pulsar’s new mouse is sliced in half to make it genuinely ‘crazy-light’

Pulsar has entered the ultra-lightweight gaming mouse market with the X2F CrazyLight, a 29-gram peripheral designed to maximize competitive gaming performance. The mouse employs an innovative half-shell design, featuring only the front portion of a traditional mouse with integrated sensors, mechanical switches, and battery, eliminating excess weight that competitive gamers view as a performance hindrance.

The move represents Pulsar’s entry into a growing trend among gaming peripheral manufacturers to minimize mouse weight in pursuit of faster, more responsive gameplay. While Pulsar joins established competitors in this space—G-Wolves has offered the HSK Pro V2.0 at 26.8 grams—the X2F CrazyLight represents the company’s commitment to extreme weight reduction. This follows Pulsar’s earlier lightweight offering, the X2 CrazyLight Mini, which weighed 35 grams.

The ultra-lightweight mouse category has gained traction as competitive gaming has intensified and players seek marginal performance gains. In an arms race where sensor specifications have reached increasingly high standards across the industry, manufacturers have shifted focus to external factors like weight and ergonomics to differentiate their products. The X2F CrazyLight’s unconventional half-mouse design exemplifies this evolution in competitive gaming hardware design.
