VCT EMEA Stage 2 Barcelona Finals Preview: Who Can Make Valorant Champions Shanghai?
The VCT EMEA Stage 2 Finals will take place in Barcelona from August 28-30, marking a significant milestone for European competitive Valorant. This event represents the region’s final regional competition under the current VCT format before the circuit undergoes its 2027 revamp, and it will determine the last two qualifying spots for Valorant Champions Shanghai 2026.
The tournament is historic as the first time VCT EMEA’s regional competition has been held outside Riot Games’ Berlin Studios, moving to a dedicated arena venue in Barcelona. This shift signals a new era for the competitive ecosystem as it expands beyond its traditional studio setting.
The Finals bracket features several top regional teams competing for supremacy. FUT Esports and Karmine Corp will clash in the Upper Bracket Final, while Fire Flux Esports faces Team Liquid in the Lower Bracket Semi-Finals. The winners will advance to determine who reaches the Lower Bracket Final and potentially secures a spot at Shanghai 2026. Teams qualified through an earlier Play-in stage that included NAVI, PCIFIC, Fnatic, and others.
The tournament crowns the final regional champions and serves as the culmination of a significant chapter in European Valorant competition before the VCT’s structural transformation in 2027.
