Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for September 2026?
PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers have a new batch of games to look forward to in September 2026. The upcoming lineup offers diverse gaming experiences with something to appeal to a broad audience.
The September roster includes four distinct titles spanning multiple genres. The collection features a historically-grounded shooter, providing players with a narrative-driven combat experience rooted in historical settings. For sports enthusiasts, a sports simulation game offers competitive or casual gameplay experiences. Indie fans will find an RPG option that showcases smaller developer creativity and innovation. Rounding out the lineup is a quirky sandbox offering designed with multiplayer in mind, allowing players to enjoy creative experiences with friends.
The announcement comes as PlayStation continues its monthly tradition of rotating games into the PS Plus Essential tier, giving subscribers regular fresh content across their gaming libraries. The variety in this month’s selection—spanning historically-inspired action, sports simulation, indie role-playing, and social sandbox experiences—suggests PlayStation is attempting to cater to different player preferences and gaming moods.
