Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Developers Address Time to Kill Criticisms and Tweak Weapons in New Beta Update
Infinity Ward has released a new beta update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 addressing community feedback regarding time to kill mechanics and weapon balance. Pushed out as one of the final updates before the beta concludes, the patch implements various adjustments to multiple weapons based on player input.
The ISO Nightshade SMG received a damage buff, while several other weapons including the PPSH, Krait P68, Han 86, and Hyeon Burst underwent tuning adjustments. The Hyeon Burst specifically saw improvements to its headshot damage multiplier. These changes reflect Infinity Ward’s ongoing efforts to refine the game’s competitive balance during the extended beta period.
The update underscores the developer’s commitment to iterating on gameplay mechanics based on community feedback, a common practice during beta phases for major multiplayer titles. With the beta set to conclude shortly after this patch, these final weapon adjustments represent some of the last opportunities for the development team to address player concerns before the game’s full release.
