Aggro Crab launches publishing label to splash that Peak cash
Aggro Crab, the studio behind indie hits Peak and Another Crab’s Treasure, has launched a new publishing label called Aggro Crab Presents to support independent game developers. The label will fund projects with budgets of $500,000 or less that can launch within two years, focusing on what the company describes as “intense, stylized games with an attitude.”
The initiative is led by Corey Warning, Aggro Crab’s head of publishing. While the label isn’t locked into specific genres, it has established clear creative criteria for potential partners. Notably, Aggro Crab explicitly stated it has no interest in publishing titles that rely on “generative AI slop,” signaling a commitment to supporting human-created content in an industry increasingly exploring AI-generated assets.
The publishing label marks Aggro Crab’s expansion beyond its own game development, leveraging its success in the indie market to nurture other teams with aligned creative sensibilities. The $500,000 funding cap positions the label as accessible to smaller studios while maintaining artistic standards consistent with Aggro Crab’s brand.
