Fortnitemares Is A Spooky Dream Come True At Universal’s Horror Nights
Fortnite is bringing its Halloween celebration to the real world this year through a partnership with Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. Players visiting Universal’s locations in Orlando or Hollywood will be able to experience Fortnitemares-themed attractions as part of the annual event.
Meanwhile, Epic Games is preparing to unveil this year’s Fortnitemares update for the main game, which traditionally includes new haunted-themed cosmetics, limited-time bosses, weapons, and new points of interest added to Fortnite’s map.
The crossover at Universal continues a recent pattern of major gaming franchises gaining prominence at the theme park’s Halloween event. Recent years have seen themed experiences based on The Last of Us, Fallout, and Five Nights at Freddy’s, demonstrating growing interest from the entertainment industry in creating immersive, real-world experiences around popular game properties.
