5 Perfect Animated Movies on Netflix That Are Better Than KPop Demon Hunters
KPop Demon Hunters, a Netflix animated film that premiered in June 2025, has become a cultural juggernaut, accumulating hundreds of millions of views and breaking new ground by earning a theatrical release despite originating as a streaming exclusive. The film’s success has spawned a merchandising frenzy, with retailers rushing to capitalize on demand through product lines including Lego sets and video games.
The film’s viral success is driven by its catchy soundtrack and unexpectedly strong action-comedy blend. However, Polygon argues that the streaming platform hosts several other animated features that merit attention and potentially surpass KPop Demon Hunters in quality. While acknowledging the film’s cultural resonance, the outlet highlights lesser-known Netflix animated offerings that have demonstrated lasting appeal and artistic merit.
