Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta Extended, Adds Double XP To Help You Grind For Rewards
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s open beta has been extended by 12 hours following player demand for additional grinding time. Originally scheduled to end on September 1 at 10 AM PT (1 PM ET), the beta now runs until 10 PM PT on September 1 (1 AM ET on September 2). Infinity Ward announced the extension on social media, acknowledging players’ efforts to unlock beta rewards and cosmetics.
To incentivize continued play during the extension, the developer activated double progression XP and double weapon XP across the remaining period. Players who reach the level 30 cap can earn an exclusive weapon blueprint reward. The extension provides an additional 12 hours of grinding opportunities for players seeking to maximize their rewards before the beta closes.
This marks the second opportunity for players to test the game and provide feedback to developers. The Modern Warfare 4 open beta has already seen developer updates addressing player concerns, including time-to-kill (TTK) balance issues and weapon tweaks implemented in previous patches. Following the beta’s conclusion, the next chance to play Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer will be at the game’s full launch.
