Nintendo has released a new Creator’s Voice video showcasing the development of Onimusha: Way of the Sword for Nintendo Switch 2. The seven-minute behind-the-scenes feature includes director Satoru Nihei discussing the game’s creation process and key design decisions.

The video highlights how the development team crafted the game’s sword combat mechanics to deliver impactful and satisfying combat experiences. Nihei also explores the character design and narrative contrast between protagonist Miyamoto Musashi and antagonist Sasaki Ganryu, examining how these opposing figures shape the game’s story and themes.

This Creator’s Voice release is part of Nintendo’s ongoing initiative to showcase third-party developer support for the Switch 2 console. By featuring behind-the-scenes content from major publishers and studios, Nintendo is building anticipation for the console’s library and demonstrating the breadth of games launching alongside the hardware.
