UKIE launches Discord-backed Go To Market Academy, a business program to support early-stage indie devs

UK games industry body UKIE has launched the Go To Market Academy in partnership with Discord and GameFlex, a new business program designed to support early-stage indie game developers. The Academy aims to equip UK-based studios with the knowledge and tools needed to develop effective go-to-market strategies while building sustainable player communities.

The program comprises six online modules covering key business areas including diagnostics and market insights, marketing strategy and campaign execution, community engagement through Discord, and studio branding. The curriculum will be supplemented by industry guest speakers who will share their expertise with participants.

The initiative will accept between 10 and 12 studios for each cohort, with the program launching with an in-person session at EGX, the event taking place at MCM Comic Con in London.
