Xbox Game Pass In September Expands With 7 New Games

Microsoft has announced the first wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for September 2026, bringing seven new titles to the subscription service across Cloud, Console, and PC platforms. The lineup launches with Shelldiver on September 1, an incremental idle game featuring a turtle fishing for jellyfish and running its own shop. On September 3, Speedrunners 2: King of Speed arrives as a day-one release, offering competitive co-op platforming for up to eight players online.

The headline addition is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the 2020 Raven Software-developed entry in the franchise, representing the most recognizable title in this month’s wave. The service also welcomes Dice a Million, a roguelike deck-building game; RuneScape Dragonwilds, the latest evolution of the long-running MMO; and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, marking the latest installment in the fighting game series.

These titles will be distributed across Game Pass’s various subscription tiers, including Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass, with availability varying by specific game and platform.

However, September brings notable losses alongside gains. The acclaimed sandbox RPG Cyberpunk 2077 will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on September 15, 2026. This is the first of two planned monthly waves, with additional titles expected in the latter half of September.
