Ikea Is Coming to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fans Are All Saying the Same Thing
Ikea has announced an unexpected collaboration with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, combining Nordic furniture design with the fantasy RPG’s medieval aesthetic. On September 2, 2026, Ikea’s official accounts for the United Kingdom and Ireland posted promotional videos on Instagram revealing the partnership.
The announcement video depicts an evocative mountain scene filled with Skyrim’s iconic imagery—Nord helmets, enchanted weaponry, mystical tomes, and wheels of cheese—scattered across a snowy landscape. Interspersed throughout are recognizable Ikea products, including a rune-inscribed Allen wrench and a white Kallax 4x2 shelving unit, creating a humorous juxtaposition of modern minimalist design with medieval fantasy elements.
The partnership will launch on September 9, 2026, through Skyrim’s Creation Club platform, the game’s official content marketplace. The collaboration has generated significant enthusiasm from the gaming community, with fans appreciating the natural creative fit between Ikea’s streamlined Scandinavian design philosophy and Skyrim’s Nordic-inspired fantasy setting.
