Nine New Xbox Games Are Launching Today, Plus A Day One Game Pass Release (September 2)
Nine new games launched on Xbox on September 2, with Moonlighter 2 emerging as the headline release for the day. The merchant-themed dungeon crawler made its console debut on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass, marking a significant milestone for the title. The game has successfully transitioned from its Early Access period on PC Game Pass to a full version 1.0 release, introducing console players to the franchise for the first time.
Prior to its console launch, Moonlighter 2 garnered fairly decent review scores, providing confidence in the quality of the console version and its transition from the early access model. The game’s arrival on Game Pass continues Microsoft’s service tradition of featuring day-one releases alongside its expanding catalog of titles, offering subscribers immediate access to new experiences.
The September 2 launch demonstrates Xbox’s ongoing commitment to bringing diverse gaming experiences to its platform, with multiple titles releasing simultaneously to provide players with a wide variety of gaming options and genres.
