How to Watch PlayStation’s September 2026 State of Play
Sony is hosting back-to-back PlayStation State of Play presentation streams on Thursday, September 3, 2026, marking the second and third State of Play events of the year. The showcase events will include an extended look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation alongside various updates and announcements for the PlayStation ecosystem.
These presentations follow an earlier State of Play in June 2026, which unveiled a dramatic opening sequence for the upcoming Wolverine game and provided the first significant look at God of War Laufey. Sony has indicated that the Thursday events will feature both a standard State of Play and a dedicated State of Play Japan presentation, though specific details about which titles will be featured in each stream remain limited.
The State of Play format has become Sony’s primary vehicle for announcing and showcasing upcoming PlayStation games and content updates throughout the year. With Final Fantasy VII Revelation confirmed as a focal point for this week’s presentations, fans of the franchise can expect new gameplay footage and developer insights into the highly anticipated title.
