30,000 games are either Steam Deck verified or at least ‘playable’ on Valve’s handheld
The Steam Deck library has reached a major milestone, with 30,000 games now rated as either Steam Deck Verified or Playable on Valve’s handheld console. According to data from SteamDB, this comprises 8,964 Steam Deck Verified titles and 21,083 Playable games. The Verified designation indicates that these games work seamlessly out of the box without requiring user intervention, while Playable games may need configuration adjustments or tweaks for optimal performance.
This represents substantial growth since the Steam Deck’s February 2022 launch, when only approximately 3,000 games had achieved Verified or Playable status. The expansion demonstrates Valve’s continued commitment to improving hardware compatibility and making portable PC gaming more accessible to a broader audience.
The distinction between Verified and Playable ratings provides users with clear expectations about their gaming experience. Verified games have been tested to run reliably on the handheld without additional configuration, making them ideal for seamless portable play. Playable titles, while fully functional, may require settings adjustments or compatibility workarounds to achieve the best results. This classification system helps users make informed decisions when selecting games to play on their Steam Deck.
