The Blood of Dawnwalker’s Final Boss Can Be Fought Immediately, but Will Destroy You
The Blood of Dawnwalker offers players unusual freedom in its campaign structure. The action RPG centers on a narrative goal: rescuing the player’s family from Brencis, the Knyaz of Vale Sangora, who holds them captive in the fortified Greifberg Castle. Players are typically given 30 in-game days to complete their mission and confront the antagonist.
Developer Rebel Wolves has intentionally designed the game to allow players to bypass typical progression. Rather than following the standard campaign, players can immediately rush to the castle and attempt to fight the final boss once the prologue concludes. This design prioritizes player agency and choice over enforced linearity.
However, attempting such a speedrun carries severe consequences. According to Polygon, players who make a direct beeline to the castle will find themselves massively underpowered to face Brencis. Even experienced action RPG players would find the encounter extremely difficult without preparation. This design creates an interesting dynamic where the choice technically exists, but the challenge of execution remains formidable, forcing players to strategically decide whether to risk an early confrontation or invest time in preparation and leveling.
