D&D’s World Of Warcraft Crossover May Not Be A One-Way Street

Wizards of the Coast and Blizzard have announced a World of Warcraft crossover for Dungeons & Dragons tabletop, featuring multiple WoW classes, six additional subclasses, spells, items, and enemies. The collaboration represents a major partnership between two major fantasy franchises.

During Gen Con 2026, executives from both companies hinted that the crossover may not be limited to a one-way street. Dan Ayoub, Head of Dungeons & Dragons, and Holly Longdale, VP of World of Warcraft, teased the possibility of additional Blizzard franchise collaborations with D&D. Ayoub specifically mentioned StarCraft as a potential future crossover, expressing personal enthusiasm for the real-time strategy game.

While no official announcements have been made regarding reverse crossovers or additional Blizzard franchises joining the D&D universe, the teasing from leadership suggests that further collaborations may be planned. The World of Warcraft D&D content is already confirmed to launch as an extensive tabletop expansion featuring game mechanics, character options, and thematic content from the MMO universe.
