Reverse Sweep Sets up DK vs KT for LCK’s Last LoL Worlds Spot

Dplus Kia completed a 3-2 reverse sweep against BNK FEARX in the LCK Playoffs, keeping their League of Legends World Championship 2026 qualification hopes alive after dropping the opening two matches.

BNK FEARX initially dominated the series with a 2-0 lead, highlighted by a breakthrough pick of Kai’Sa in the top lane—a first deployment of the champion in Tier 1 professional play. However, Dplus Kia regrouped effectively while FEARX’s performance collapsed. The comeback marks the second reverse sweep in two consecutive days in the LCK Playoffs, following Hanwha Life Esports’ identical 3-2 comeback against T1.

With their elimination, BNK FEARX will compete at the new Demacia Cup Global Invitational instead of Worlds. Dplus Kia advances to face KT in the final playoff series for the region’s last available World Championship slot.

The LCK has three confirmed representatives heading to Worlds: Hanwha Life Esports secured their berth after winning MSI, while Gen.G and T1 locked in their spots earlier in the week. The winner between Dplus Kia and KT will claim the final qualification position for the region.
