Dplus Kia Secure LCK’s Final LoL Worlds 2026 Slot
Dplus Kia has secured the final League of Legends World Championship 2026 spot by defeating KT Rolster 3-1 in the LCK Playoffs Lower Bracket. The victory completes the roster of four teams heading to Worlds, alongside previously qualified T1, Gen.G, and Hanwha Life Esports.
KT Rolster will instead compete in the new Demacia Cup Global Invitational alongside HANJIN BRION and BNK FEARX, concluding the LCK regional qualification process.
DK’s qualification marks a dramatic turnaround for an organization that has faced significant challenges throughout 2026. The team finished third in the LCK Cup and fifth in the Road to MSI, struggling to compete consistently against the region’s top performers. Beyond competitive setbacks, DK has contended with internal organizational difficulties, including reports of unpaid player wages and potential ownership changes that threatened the team’s viability.
Despite these obstacles, DK’s Lower Bracket performance demonstrated resilience when it mattered most, securing a path to Worlds. The qualification represents a recovery from a turbulent period that had cast serious doubt on the organization’s competitive future.
