HBO has revealed casting for key roles in the second season of its Harry Potter television series. Lenny Rush, a 17-year-old British actor, presenter, and comedian, will play Dobby the House-elf, the character first introduced in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Rush is known for his work in British children’s television, including appearances in The Dumping Ground, Doctor Who, and Taskmaster.

The role of young Tom Riddle, the younger version of Lord Voldemort, has been cast with 18-year-old Billy Barratt. While not yet widely recognized, Barratt is currently involved in the Amazon Prime adaptation of the narrative video game Life is Strange and has appeared in other television projects.

These casting announcements mark progress on HBO’s ambitious live-action adaptation of the beloved Harry Potter series. The series aims to bring the wizarding world to life with high production values and carefully selected talent to portray the iconic characters from J.K. Rowling’s novels.
