Pokemon Go Fest Mega Finale: Armored Mewtwo Raids, Rotating Habitats, Bonuses, And More

Pokémon Go’s 2026 season culminates with the “Mega Finale” event, a two-day celebration running September 5-6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time. The event focuses exclusively on Mega-Evolved Pokémon and features rotating habitats that change hourly, showcasing different wild Pokémon and raid bosses throughout the weekend.

The event offers several major attractions. Players will have their first opportunity to Mega Evolve the Kalos starting trio—Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja. Mewtwo takes center stage with both Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y returning as Super Mega Raid bosses. Most notably, Armored Mewtwo returns to raids after a six-year absence since 2020, available throughout the entire event.

Players will also receive various bonuses for catching Pokémon and completing challenges, making it an opportunity to accumulate extra Mewtwo Mega Energy and progress on Mega Evolution goals. While less robust than the main Go Fest event in terms of bonuses, the Mega Finale serves as a focused wrap-up for the summer season and provides dedicated players a chance to complete their Mega Evolution collections before the event concludes.
