Peak studio Aggro Crab is publishing a sick-looking platformer about a blue collar guy doing dirty work on an alien world
Aggro Crab, the studio behind co-op “friendslop” games, is publishing Rebounder, a 2D platformer that represents a creative departure from their usual work. The game follows a blue-collar worker performing labor on an alien world and features a striking visual identity built on a color-limited, comic book aesthetic.
Studio head Nick Kaman recently discussed at the Game Developers Conference that the co-op space still has significant untapped potential for new experiences. However, with Rebounder, Aggro Crab is branching into a different genre while maintaining the same commitment to distinctive art direction and quality that defines their work. The platformer’s visual presentation appears designed to help it stand out in a crowded market of 2D platformers, with the color-restricted comic style serving as a key differentiator.
