8 Best Games Like The Witcher 3
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is receiving a remastered version set to launch later this month, available free to players who already own the game. The remaster arrives as CD Projekt Red continues its long-term roadmap for the franchise: the expansion Songs of the Past is scheduled for 2027, while The Witcher 4 won’t release until 2028.
The timing means players with a “Witcher-sized hole” in their gaming backlogs will have the enhanced remaster to revisit, featuring the defining qualities that made the original a standout RPG—a dense open world, narratively rich side quests, memorable characters, and dynamic combat mechanics. This strategic rollout provides content across multiple years, bridging the gap between the remastered edition and the next mainline entry.
