Gran Turismo 8 Hinted at Further by Polyphony Digital Job Listings

Polyphony Digital is actively recruiting staff for the production of a new Gran Turismo title, further confirming ongoing development of what is presumed to be Gran Turismo 8. The studio has posted multiple job openings for positions including Online Engineers, Racing Game Programmers, and CG Artists, among other roles.

The hiring push comes as announcements regarding a new Gran Turismo game in development emerged earlier this year, with Polyphony explicitly stating it was “Now hiring staff for the production of ‘Gran Turismo.’” The volume and variety of open positions suggest development is accelerating, particularly as Gran Turismo 7 enters a wind-down phase.

Polyphony Digital has specialized exclusively in Gran Turismo development since 1997, releasing mainline entries alongside smaller experiences such as ‘Concept’ and ‘Prologue’ titles that serve as previews or supplementary racing experiences. While the new title has not been officially announced, the job postings represent the strongest public signal yet that a successor to Gran Turismo 7 is moving into active production.
