PSVR Dolphin Game ‘Jupiter & Mars: Definitive Edition’ Hits Switch This Week
“Jupiter & Mars,” originally released as a PlayStation VR title, is making its debut on Nintendo Switch this week with a new “Definitive Edition.” The underwater adventure game launches on the Switch eShop on Thursday, September 10th, 2026.
The game puts players in the role of a dolphin exploring the ocean environment. The Switch version features significant improvements over the original VR release, including enhanced graphics and visual fidelity. Most notably, it introduces a new third-person camera perspective that makes the game more accessible to players who may not have VR equipment or prefer traditional gameplay perspectives.
Another major addition is a brand-new end theme composed by Ken Ishii, a legendary Japanese techno producer, specifically for this Definitive Edition. This original track was not part of the original PSVR release, giving Switch players an exclusive audio experience.
The port represents a common industry trend where successful VR titles are adapted for broader audiences on traditional platforms, allowing more players to experience the game without requiring specialized hardware.
