Marvel’s Spider-Man Actor Would Prefer Deadpool Over Wolverine in the Next Game
Yuri Lowenthal, the voice actor behind Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man games, has expressed his preference for Deadpool over Wolverine appearing in upcoming titles. During an interview with TheMovieDB, Lowenthal was asked about the possibility of a Spider-Man and Wolverine crossover in future games, given the expansion of the Spider-Man gaming universe and the imminent release of Marvel’s Wolverine. Rather than endorsing a Wolverine crossover, Lowenthal indicated he would prefer to see the Merc with a Mouth team up with Spider-Man instead.
The statement comes as Insomniac Games and Marvel Games develop their interconnected Marvel gaming universe. With Marvel’s Wolverine arriving soon on PlayStation platforms, speculation has mounted about potential character crossovers between the standalone Wolverine title and upcoming Spider-Man games. Lowenthal’s comments suggest that from a creative and performance perspective, a Deadpool crossover might offer different storytelling opportunities compared to the anticipated Wolverine encounter.
