Arc Raiders’ last live update until Frozen Trails releases today bringing players new rubber ducks and a reminder that you’ve one month to spend your expiring currency
Arc Raiders is preparing for its major Frozen Trails update launching within the next month. Before the major release, developer Embark Studios has released Update 1.45.0, which marks the final live update until Frozen Trails arrives.
Update 1.45.0 introduces several content additions and system changes to the live-service shooter. Players can now access a new Raider Project, the beginning of the fifth Expedition progression track, and the Hornet Hunter cosmetic set. The update also addresses various game fixes and implements changes to the Cred currency system. Among the minor additions are new cosmetic rubber ducks for players to collect.
The upcoming Frozen Trails update represents a significant milestone for the game, promising substantial new content and gameplay improvements. The update will introduce new arcs—the game’s roster of playable characters—along with fresh maps to explore. Most notably, Frozen Trails will overhaul the game’s movement mechanics, fundamentally changing how players navigate combat scenarios. This system-level change suggests Embark intends Frozen Trails to represent a meaningful evolution of Arc Raiders’ core gameplay.
The timing of this final update serves as a reminder for players to spend accumulated currency before the new update arrives, as the Cred currency system is being modified. Players have approximately one month to prepare for Frozen Trails and manage any expiring in-game currency before the major balance and progression changes arrive with the next major release.
