Fnatic Allows Boaster to Explore Options for 2027
Fnatic is allowing its Valorant roster to explore opportunities with other organizations ahead of the 2027 VCT EMEA season. The announcement comes as the organization undergoes significant roster changes following a disappointing 2026 campaign.
In-Game Leader Jake ‘Boaster’ Howlett has confirmed he is open to exploring offers from teams across all regions, with particular interest in EMEA and China. Despite exploring options, Boaster remains in active negotiations with Fnatic, where he has played for the past five years. Additionally, support player Austin ‘crashies’ Robert is departing the organization.
The roster changes follow a stark contrast in team performance. In 2025, Fnatic demonstrated strong form, qualifying for every international tournament and reaching the Valorant Champions finals. However, the team’s 2026 season proved significantly more challenging, with Fnatic failing to qualify for any international events throughout the year.
With these announcements, Fnatic is beginning to address its offseason plans as the esports organization looks to rebuild and return to competitive form in 2027.
