Marvel Rivals Season 10.5 Will Not Feature a New Hero
Marvel Rivals Season 10 will feature only one new character instead of the typical two, marking a departure from the game’s standard seasonal structure. The first half of Season 10 will introduce Gorr, the God Butcher, along with a new map. However, the second half of the season will not include an additional character.
Instead of releasing a second hero, developer NetEase will dedicate the second half of Season 10 to developing phases 3 and 4 of the “Path to Doomsday” event. This strategic shift prioritizes expanding the event content rather than releasing new playable characters.
The decision represents a notable change to Marvel Rivals’ established pattern, where players typically receive two characters per season—one in each half. This adjustment suggests the developers are focusing resources on deepening event content and narrative progression rather than expanding the playable roster during this season.
