Pokémon Go ‘Mega Squads’ event guide
Pokémon Go’s “Mega Squads” event runs from September 8-14, featuring new Mega evolutions and Pokémon debuts. The event introduces Mega forms for Beedrill and Houndoom, along with the first appearance of Maschiff, a dog Pokémon. Players can also encounter and catch the shiny version of Flamigo during the event.
The event is structured in two phases, with the second phase beginning on September 11 at 10 a.m. local time. When the second phase launches, spawns, Field Research tasks, raids, and egg encounters will change, providing players with new catching opportunities. The event also features two special Spotlight Hours, scheduled outside their typical Tuesday and Thursday slots to align with the event’s structure.
According to the guide, players will have access to event-specific bonuses and perks, along with information on obtaining Maschiff.
