SteelSeries Unveils Aeon Pro Xbox Controller With OLED Screen & ‘Unlimited’ Battery Life
SteelSeries has announced the Aeon Pro Controller, a premium gamepad designed for Xbox and PC gaming, now available for purchase at $259.99 through the SteelSeries website. The controller represents a significant entry into the high-end gaming peripheral market, targeting players seeking advanced features and premium build quality.
The device features an integrated OLED screen and introduces an “Infinite Power System” equipped with dual hot-swappable batteries. This design allows players to extend play sessions indefinitely by simply swapping out depleted batteries without experiencing downtime, addressing a common frustration in wireless gaming.
A standout innovation is the QuickSwitch Dock System (patent pending), which enables seamless switching between Xbox, PC, and mobile devices without requiring cables or re-pairing wireless connections. This cross-platform functionality eliminates the traditional inconvenience of juggling multiple controllers or reconfiguring connections when moving between devices.
The controller also delivers fast and precise controls to meet competitive gaming standards. At nearly $260, the Aeon Pro positions itself squarely in the premium accessory segment, targeting serious gamers and enthusiasts willing to invest in advanced battery management technology and cross-platform convenience features that differentiate it from standard gaming controllers.
