Zenless Zone Zero and UnGodly are being demoed on Apple’s new foldable, iPhone Duo

Apple has unveiled the iPhone Duo, a new foldable smartphone launching in October for $2000, with gaming demonstrations from two major studios showcasing its capabilities. The company partnered with Hoyoverse, the developer behind the hugely successful Genshin Impact franchise, and Sacramento-based startup Azra Games to present the first games running on the new device.

Hoyoverse’s Zenless Zone Zero was one of two titles demoed to press and influencers following Apple’s keynote announcement. The game represents Hoyoverse’s third large-scale open-world gacha experience and is already available on app stores, continuing the studio’s dominance in the live-service mobile gaming space.

The second demo title, UnGodly, comes from Azra Games, a venture-backed developer founded by former EA staff who previously worked on Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. The studio’s upcoming RPG had originally been targeted for release earlier this year but remains in pre-registration on iOS and Android platforms.

The selection of these two titles for iPhone Duo’s launch showcase underscores Apple’s strategic focus on gaming as a key selling point for its foldable hardware innovation. Both games represent significant production investments and existing player communities, with Zenless Zone Zero already live and UnGodly positioned as a major upcoming release. This partnership demonstrates continued strong industry interest in premium mobile gaming experiences.
