Planet Zoo maker Frontier Developments’ adjusted operating profit jumps 62 percent
Frontier Developments, the UK-based studio behind Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster, has reported record-breaking financial results for FY2026. The company’s adjusted operating profit surged 62 percent to £21.4 million (approximately $25 million USD), marking an all-time high. IFRS operating profit experienced even stronger growth, climbing 97 percent to £25 million, while cash reserves increased by £19 million.
Total revenue grew 16 percent to £104.8 million, driven primarily by strong performance from Jurassic World Evolution 3 alongside the Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster franchises. Frontier attributed the exceptional results to “strong trading, disciplined cost control, and higher tax and expenditure credits.”
Notably, excluding a one-time £3.9 million gain from the sale of publishing rights in the previous financial year, adjusted operating profit would have more than doubled year-on-year, indicating particularly robust underlying business growth.
