Gears Of War: E-Day Has A Smash Mouth-Inspired Achievement, And That’s Fantastic
The achievement list for Gears of War: E-Day was accidentally leaked through the Steam platform, prompting Microsoft to officially release the complete set of 55 achievements to the public. This decision to confirm the leaked data represents Microsoft’s standard response to such incidents rather than attempting to suppress the information.
One of the more notable achievements is titled “HEY NOW, YOU’RE AN ALL STAR…”, which references the famous Smash Mouth song featured prominently in the 2001 film Shrek. Players can earn this 25 Gamerscore achievement by accumulating 25,000 kills in the game’s Versus multiplayer mode.
The most challenging achievement is “Dead Serious,” which requires players to complete the entire campaign on the highest difficulty setting (Insane) while also reaching 25,000 multiplayer kills, achieving maximum player level, and maxing out four player classes. Those who accomplish all these objectives will be rewarded with 85 Gamerscore.
With the full roster of achievements now publicly available, players have clear insight into the various goals and unlockables they can pursue when Gears of War: E-Day launches on October 6, 2026.
