NEOGEO AES+ Delayed to September 2027

PLAION REPLAI has announced a significant delay for the highly anticipated NEOGEO AES+, pushing the console’s launch to September 16, 2027. The company attributed the postponement to unexpectedly high worldwide demand that has overwhelmed initial production estimates and created supply chain constraints.

The NEOGEO AES+ is a modern remake of the classic arcade game console that gained prominence in the mid-1990s, bringing a comprehensive collection of arcade games to home players. In its announcement, PLAION REPLAI expressed appreciation for the exceptionally positive community response to the new console’s reveal, but explained that current manufacturing capabilities are insufficient to meet the global demand.

The company has committed to honoring all existing pre-orders despite the delay, offering customers who have already committed some certainty about their purchases. PLAION REPLAI indicated that it is actively working to expand manufacturing capacity to meet the unexpectedly strong market interest. The new September 2027 date reflects the company’s updated production timeline as it scales operations to fulfill demand.
