Persona 6 Got The Smallest Announcement On Nintendo Direct, Despite Big Leak Reveals
Persona 6 received confirmation during the September Nintendo Direct that it will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2, though developer Atlus and publisher Sega provided virtually no new details beyond what had been previously announced. The game’s presence was marked only by a dark, cryptic teaser featuring the title’s spooky green logo and fractured text reading “Who are you?"—the same imagery shown during the original summer announcement.
Notably, Persona 6’s Switch 2 confirmation was overshadowed by Persona 4 Revival, which also received announcement for the console alongside an actual gameplay trailer demonstrating the remake’s performance on the hardware. Persona 4 Revival is scheduled to launch on Switch 2 on May 20, 2027, several months after its release on other platforms.
Despite prior leaks and speculation surrounding Persona 6, the minimal presentation suggests Sega and Atlus are taking a measured approach to the title’s reveal schedule. With only a logo and cryptic tagline to work with, fans continue to await substantive details about gameplay, story, and release timing for the latest entry in the beloved JRPG franchise.
