More Details Revealed For Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Part 2
Pokémon Pokopia’s second expansion pass update has been detailed following its reveal in a Nintendo Direct presentation. The update, set to release later in 2026, will prioritize cosmetics and customization features rather than adding new playable zones—those additions are planned for Part 3. The expansion introduces a comprehensive selection of accessories for players to equip their Pokémon with, including stylish sunglasses, decorative bows, ribbons, ties, and detachable wings. The promotional trailer notably showcased Squirtle, the water starter from Pokémon Red and Blue, modeling the new sunglasses.
Seven new Pokémon species have been confirmed for the expansion so far, including Doduo, Skitty, and Braixen. Based on how Pokopia’s Pokédex mechanics function, players can reasonably expect their evolution lines—Dodrio, Delcatty, and Fennekin—to also appear in the update. While a specific release date announcement was not provided during the Nintendo Direct, the update is confirmed to arrive before year’s end, following the initial Bubbly Basin zone expansion that launched as Part 1 of the Pokopia Expansion Pass.
