2025’s Best Psychological Horror Game is Getting an Official Sequel

Konami has officially announced a manga spinoff of Silent Hill f, the acclaimed psychological horror game from 2025. The manga series will begin serialization in Weekly Famitsu starting at the end of 2026, marking an expansion of the franchise beyond its game origins.

The manga will center on Kotoyuki, known as “the man with the fox mask,” who served as the antagonist in Silent Hill f. Rather than continuing the game’s main story, the adaptation will explore Kotoyuki’s origins and backstory, focusing on his childhood and the transformative events that led him to become the masked figure players encountered in the game.

The series is being developed by manga artist Ayato, with writing and creative oversight provided by Ryukishi07, the writer behind the original Silent Hill f, and Konami. A promotional illustration released alongside the announcement depicts Kotoyuki with a notably more refined, bishonen-influenced appearance—a significant departure from his in-game portrayal.

This manga represents at least the second manga adaptation connected to Silent Hill f, indicating Konami’s broader strategy of expanding the Silent Hill franchise across multiple media platforms and formats. The decision to spotlight the game’s villain character suggests the publisher sees strong audience interest in deeper exploration of the game’s world and supporting characters.
