Sonic Racing CrossWorlds’ final free DLC character for Year 1 is Amigo from Samba de Amigo
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds has received its final free downloadable character for Year 1 of content updates: Amigo, the rhythm-game icon from Samba de Amigo. This addition brings the game’s total playable roster to 57 characters, representing a substantial lineup for the arcade-style racing title. The inclusion of Amigo continues Sega’s tradition of featuring diverse characters across its racing franchise, blending its own mascot stable with recognizable properties from across the publisher’s catalog.
The character release marks the conclusion of the first year’s free content roadmap. Sega has confirmed that Year 2 content is already in development, indicating continued support for the live-service racing game. This ongoing content pipeline demonstrates the publisher’s commitment to sustained player engagement through regular seasonal updates and character additions.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds combines fast-paced kart racing with the extensive roster the franchise has become known for, allowing players to compete as various Sega properties and associated characters. The game continues its trajectory as an ongoing live-service title with content creation planned well into the future.
