Overcooked team returns with a first proper look at its adorably spooky co-op adventure Stage Fright, and it’s out next year

Ghost Town Games, the studio behind the Overcooked franchise, has revealed its next project: Stage Fright, an adorably spooky co-op adventure game launching next year. Following an initial tease in December 2024, the studio has now shared its first proper gameplay footage of the title, which has been in development for approximately five years.

The game centers on three protagonists—Drew, Blake, and Charlie—embarking on a quest to solve an ancient mystery. Designed as a two-player action experience, Stage Fright blends Ghost Town Games’ signature co-op gameplay with spooky theming. The exact narrative and full gameplay details remain sparse, though the studio describes the overall tone as whimsical and atmospheric.

Remarkably, the game is being published by Hello Games, the studio behind the space exploration title No Man’s Sky. This marks a notable partnership that sees the Overcooked creators working with an established publisher known for maintaining and expanding long-term player engagement in their own flagship title.
