Six New Console Features Begin Rolling Out Today For Xbox Insiders (September 9)
Microsoft is rolling out six new features to Xbox Insider program members beginning September 9. The update will initially reach members in the Alpha and Alpha-Skip-Ahead testing rings, with subsequent rollout to the general Xbox userbase expected in the coming weeks and months.
The new features include customizable startup animations, giving users the ability to personalize their console’s boot sequence. Additionally, the update brings enhanced streaming capabilities designed to improve the streaming experience for content creators and viewers. The rollout also introduces a new badges system, though full details on this feature remain limited in the initial announcement.
This phased release strategy through the Xbox Insider program allows Microsoft to thoroughly test features before wider deployment. Insider members gain early access to these additions in exchange for providing valuable feedback on performance, stability, and overall user experience.
The update demonstrates Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the Xbox console experience through both customization tools and technical improvements. As these features reach the broader Xbox audience following initial testing, players can expect a more personalized and functionally robust console ecosystem.
