Finalmouse claims its mouse has the absolute fastest click, quicker than the Logitech Superstrike and Razer Viper V4 Pro

Finalmouse, a niche gaming peripheral manufacturer, has announced its latest flagship mouse, the Starlight X, claiming it delivers the fastest click latency of any gaming mouse currently available. The device features a hybrid mechanical-optical design incorporating what the company describes as an entirely new “TMR DS analogue click architecture.”

The performance claim carries significance in competitive gaming circles, where input latency can directly affect gameplay outcomes. According to Finalmouse’s testing, the Starlight X outperforms other leading gaming mice, including the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike and the Razer Viper V4 Pro—both well-regarded options in the high-performance gaming peripheral market.

Finalmouse measures click latency using its proprietary XLat tester, which calculates the time elapsed from when the mouse switch electrically closes to when the resulting USB packet arrives at the host system. This standardized measurement methodology enables direct performance comparisons across different devices.

The company claims the Starlight X not only achieves the fastest click latency among their own products but represents the fastest button input response measured in any consumer electronic device to date. This announcement reflects the ongoing competitive evolution of gaming peripherals, with manufacturers continuing to push technical boundaries in pursuit of minimal input latency.
