Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has a weapon skin you can only see properly on Xbox
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is offering an exclusive weapon blueprint as a pre-order bonus to drive early purchases ahead of its November launch. Players who pre-order a digital copy on any platform—including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2—will receive the “Inner Circuit M4 Assault Rifle Blueprint,” a cosmetically customized version of the assault rifle weapon.
The weapon blueprint comes in multiple variants depending on the player’s platform. Xbox Series X and Series S players receive a special exclusive variant designed to commemorate Xbox’s 25th anniversary celebration. This exclusive Xbox cosmetic uses a distinctive design not available on other platforms. In contrast, players on PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 receive a standard mil-spec version of the blueprint with a translucent appearance.
Weapon blueprints have become a standard incentive for Call of Duty pre-orders since the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot, offering unique visual customizations without gameplay advantages. This latest example demonstrates Activision’s continued strategy of offering platform-specific bonuses to encourage early digital sales, with Xbox receiving special treatment as the company celebrates a quarter-century milestone.
