Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour Updated To Ver. 1.1.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Nintendo released a Ver. 1.1.0 update for the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour application, expanding Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) functionality in its interactive demo. The update enables the VRR Slider demo to be played while the console is docked on a television, a capability it previously lacked.
This update follows Nintendo’s release of a larger Switch 2 system update (version 23.0.0), which introduced VRR modes as a native console feature. The Welcome Tour application, which serves as the primary interactive tutorial for new Switch 2 owners, has been updated to demonstrate this new display technology to users.
To access the updated VRR demo, users must ensure both their Nintendo Switch 2 console and its docking hardware are running the latest firmware versions. The Switch 2 Dock requires a separate update to properly support the docked VRR functionality.
